This section describes the immediate post surgical experience that a typical patient can expect. As this is intended as a guide for patients, I have deliberately kept it concise so that it is easy for patients to read and remember.
I highly recommend seeing a good physiotherapist after surgery. A good physiotherapist will help patients along their journey toward recovery. In addition, close cooperation between myself and a physiotherapist allows us to alert each other to possible problems or deficiencies in the patient's recovery so that therapy can be directed more efficiently.
